Synopsis
Following the devastating climax of the Heavenly Tribulation, the fiery demon incarnation Ne Zha and the ice-wielding Dragon Prince Ao Bing have sacrificed their mortal bodies to protect the citizens of Chentang Pass. Though their physical forms were vaporized by the divine lightning strike, their souls were successfully preserved inside the sacred Seven-Treasure Lotus Pod through the desperate, heroic intervention of their master, the eccentric immortal Taiyi Zhenren.
Despite retaining their spirits, Ne Zha and Ao Bing remain fragile, ethereal beings incapable of interacting with the physical realm for long. Taiyi Zhenren begins a peril-laden journey to forge new lotus-born physical bodies for the pair, requiring rare mystical artifacts and immense spiritual power. However, news of Ao Bing’s body destruction reaches the deep ocean trenches, igniting outrage among the subjugated Dragon Clan. Feeling betrayed by the celestial pantheon and grieving his son, the formidable Dragon King of the East Sea vows to break free from the oceanic prison where his dragon kin have been forced to act as guardians over ancient abyssal monsters.
