Synopsis
The season opens with Kaelen, a disgraced "Frost-Warden" whose job is to patch micro-fissures in the northern wall. Inside, he discovers a young woman named Sora who has been in stasis for centuries. Her awakening triggers a series of seismic tremors that shake the city of Aethelgard. Kaelen hides Sora in the lower districts, fearing the Council of Embers will seize her for experimentation. As Kaelen and his sister, a resourceful mechanic named Lyra, work to understand Sora’s origins, they realize she possesses the ability to manipulate heat, a power long thought extinct in this frozen world.
Meanwhile, the High Chancellor of Aethelgard, Valerius, attempts to suppress reports of the wall’s degradation to prevent a city-wide panic.
